Club Training Times & Routes

The club has two main training sessions:

Monday evening at 6.30pm for speed work, hill reps or circuit training. Summer time sessions are held at Reid Park.  Winter time sessions (from 11/10/2021) are at Market Muir.

Wednesday evening – runners leave the Community Campus at 6.30pm (turn up for 6.20pm).

Please remember to wear hi-viz clothing for all evening runs.

August runs:

3rd –  Glamis (6½ and 4½ mile options) meet at Glamis car park.

10th – Six mile series.

17th – Chester’s Walk (5 mile route also available) meet at Lochside Leisure Centre.

24th – Cortachy to Airlie Monument (c.6 miles) meet 1830hrs at Cortachy car park.

31st – Wemyss Farm (5 mile route also available).

Forfar Road Runners promote safe running at all times and provides members with Hi-Viz Kit, which must be worn on all club night runs.  It is, further more, recommended to be worn on all winter training runs.  If you plan to finish your run early, or not return to base then please, as a matter of safety, make other club members aware of this.  If you would like to help out or host a session then let us know.  During the summer when nights are lighter we have an abundance of routes in the countryside to suit all abilities.

  • Thursday 30th June, Talk from Sports Psychologist Nick Frost.  7pm start at West End Social Club.
