238 slightly crazy but eager runners were let loose from Tyndrum at 6am on Saturday morning to cover the 42 miles to Fort William along the West Highland Way.
As we drove to Monikee Country Park for Angus Half Marathon we all had our worries.
Luthrie Village Hall was the venue for the Fife AC organised Norman’s Law Hill Race,
A bright but cold spring afternoon greeted 438 runners for the culmination of a varied weekend of running at the 20th Run Balmoral Races.
22degrees and only 4mph winds, sounds like great weather…….but maybe not to run a marathon in!!
A ‘TYPICAL’ RACING WEEKEND?
Race day arrived sooner than expected, the Forfar contingent had decreased to only 5 runners for various reasons (injury, under training) so Angie, Hugh, Roz and I set off up to Aberdeen early for the 9am race start with the hope of catching up with Brian Bonnyman beforehand.
On Saturday 23rd January, 6 Forfar Road Runner ladies took on the Devils Burden’s Relay hosted by Fife AC. The race spans 21 miles over the ‘Lomonds of Fife’ and is split into 4 legs and we had a lovely clear day for the run.
I had planned a crazy year of events to help celebrate 2015 and whilst browsing on Strava I noticed Venice Marathon on my 50th Birthday.
